As Managing Director, Peter’s focus is on senior and executive level appointments for our key clients nationwide. He is also committed to growing our team and culture here at Fluid, ensuring we stay true to our values and always delivering a superior level of service.


Peter has over 15 years’ experience recruiting throughout New Zealand, the UK and Australia working for just two agencies in this time. Having started at Fluid Recruitment in 2009, he has been an integral part of the company’s growth from inception through to its current standing as an award-winning and nationally operating agency that is regarded as one of the leading players in the New Zealand market.


The original business aim was, and remains to be, to build strong long-lasting relationships and deliver a professional and honest service. Peter fully understands the recruitment challenges his clients face and enjoys promoting the success of their business and the lifestyle our regions have to offer.


Peter enjoys working in candidate short markets, sectors where skill sets are in high demand and on roles that require a rigorous and in-depth search process to find the best fit for both parties. He takes huge satisfaction building long lasting relationships with his candidates and working with them throughout their career, taking time to understand what is important to them and their families. His high degree of expertise and specialism enables him to add significant value to a recruitment process and he embraces the responsibility and trust his candidates give him.

Life outside the office

Originally from the UK, Peter first started his career in recruitment in 2006 working in London as a fresh graduate for a leading accountancy recruitment agency and earning his stripes working within the highly competitive financial services sector. Having since lived and worked in Sydney for a number of years he is now firmly settled in Wanaka with his family where his time is filled with embracing the outdoor lifestyle on offer with his children, Teddy and Delilah, and trying to avoid both embarrassment and injury whether it is from mountain biking, skiing, boating or golfing.
